ABOUT ME
Colin White has worked as a fine furniture maker for over 20 years.
Colin gained an apprenticeship qualifying as a furniture maker then continued onto digital manufacture of furniture (cnc).
Whilst working for a local company owned by the industry renowned designer Sir Terence Conran, Colin had the fortune to work on many exciting projects making furniture for venues such as the Eden Project, Cleveland Clinic, The Science Museum and many more including the set of Harry Potter. Colin’s proudest moment was bringing to life The Vessel by Gareth Neal on the cnc for the wish list project.
Drawing on these many experiences Colin started White Wood in 2021. With his knowledge, passion and attention to detail, Colin will bring to you a beautifully crafted high quality well-made product, that will be passed on through generations.
Using traditional techniques his aim is to, as far as possible, use natural materials sourced ethically. Where we can we buy British, purchasing from local distributors to support people and businesses in our community and also keep our carbon footprint to a minimum.
Visitors are always welcome to White Woods workshop to look at what they can do or discuss ideas for a hut or commisioned piece of furniture. We are based at Draycot Aerodrome on the edge of the North Wessex Downs about 10 mins from the historic market town of Marlborough. So, if you have your own plane then head for the runway or alternatively follow your map to SN4 0HX.
We look forward to meeting you!
