THE LONG STAY (18' x 7'8 ) is a beautifully crafted hut from our furniture makers with everything you need for an extra guest room at home or a great addition to your glamping site.

 

The materials used within this hut have been selected to match the quality of the craftmanship and this really does apply throughout, not just to the elements you can see, but also those tucked out of view to ensure the hut will last for years to come. To be as kind as possible to our environment, we use English Oak (FSC) which we source from our local timber merchant.  In fact, we will always strive to source our materials from local suppliers, thus reducing our carbon footprint.

Features to behold -

• Traditional English Oak chassis

• Solid (2m wide) air dried oak steps to take you into the hut. Or they make a nice seat with a glass of wine.

• Solid English Oak flooring throughout. The flooring is 20mm thick to prevent movement and bounce and to allow sanding - accidents do happen!

• 100% sheep wool insulation from locally sourced sheep (well England and Ireland)! The wool we have chosen has been treated via a process that prevents it from being a nutritional source for wool parasites.

• To keep the wool dry and cosy it's encased in a breathable membrane.

• English Oak external cladding, rough sawn and feather edged for added character.

• Wriggly tin roof, coated to prevent rusting and drip stop to prevent internal condensation.

• Tongue and groove redwood cladding, which more unusually we have chosen with a rough sawn finish and distressed look to give a beautiful textured rustic je ne sais quoi!

• Hardwood windows thoughtfully placed for contemplation to foot of bed, side of bed, kitchen and bathroom. Hardwood double doors, to allow light to flow through the hut. All windows come with pewter finish ironmongery. Hardwood is chosen over softwood for longevity.

• An internal oak ledge and brace door with bespoke latch, leading to the bathroom.

• Internal lighting throughout the hut, with soft lighting for cosy evenings.

• All electrics certified (NICEIC).

• Handcrafted beautifully detailed English Oak framed kitchen units, with integrated inline butt hinges.

• Fitted kitchen to include, Belfast sink, 2 burner induction hob, fridge/freezer and pewter finish mixer tap. Microwave/oven may also be installed as an extra.

• Handcrafted banquette seating with high grade 90mm thick foam. Three large drawers for storage.

• Fitted blinds to front and kitchen windows.

• Hobbit wood burner for extra warmth in winter months.

• Electric hook-up for plinth heater, giving instant heat before the log burner starts up. (The heater is an extra.)

• Bathroom includes basin with handmade English Oak sink unit, rimless easy clean toilet with hidden cistern (accessible via removable panel). Mira electric shower with shallow tray.

• Electric hook-up to underside of hut (64amp).
